Sniper's Nest

In this captivating 2D parallax artwork, I aimed to seamlessly blend an old pencil drawing with digital art. The creative process began by scanning the pencil drawing and importing it into Photoshop, where I meticulously masked and separated different elements. The background was digitally drawn, and various components were exported as distinct pieces.

To enhance the artwork, I applied vibrant colors and made necessary adjustments. Given the slightly blurry and undefined nature of the original pencil drawing, I skillfully vectorized the elements using Illustrator, ensuring clarity and precision.

The next step involved integrating everything into After Effects, where the magic truly came to life. By assembling the separated elements, I crafted a mesmerizing scene. Through subtle yet impactful animations, I added motion and particles to elements like trees, bushes, and grass, simulating the gentle sway caused by a gentle breeze. The character received steady motions to infuse vitality into the entire image.

Moreover, to heighten the realism, I animated the intensity of the lighting, mirroring the effect of a powerful wind. As the branches swayed, some leaves temporarily covered the sniper rifle, adding a touch of dynamic movement.

The result is a captivating and immersive artwork that fuses the charm of traditional pencil drawing with the versatility of digital art, creating an enchanting visual experience.
